Serve with CLC
Your Gifts. God’s Word. A Global Impact.
Serving with CLC means joining a global Christian literature mission that God has been advancing for more than 80 years. Our workers serve in publishing, media, bookstores, logistics, and cross-cultural ministry—helping place God’s Word into the hands of people around the world.
Many who serve with CLC sense God’s call to missions and step into roles supported through partnership and prayer, with practical care and guidance provided along the way. Whether you’re exploring a long-term calling or serving for a defined season, we’re committed to walking with you as you discern what faithfulness looks like in this next step.
Ways to Serve

Long-Term Service Opportunities
CLC is always looking for individuals and families who sense God calling them to long-term missionary service.
Long-term workers commit to a minimum of two years in a given location and may serve in the U.S. or overseas. We walk closely with our workers through placement, training, and support-raising, striving to match each person with a role that best fits their gifts, passions, and calling.

Short-Term Service Opportunities
CLC recruits, trains, and sends short-term workers to serve alongside our teams in the U.S. and around the world. These roles typically last 6 months to 2 years and require support-raising, which we help make clear, practical, and achievable.
Short-term service is ideal for those who want to test a calling to missions, use professional skills for Kingdom impact, and serve cross-culturally without a lifelong commitment

Volunteer & Internship Opportunities
CLC welcomes volunteers and offers a limited number of internship opportunities for college students.
Internships provide real-world exposure to global missions, publishing, and Christian bookstore ministry.
Internships are unpaid, but housing is provided at our U.S. campus. Internships are a great opportunity to learn, serve, and discern God’s calling.
Many former interns describe their time at CLC as formative—both spiritually and vocationally.
Where we serve
CLC is an evangelical world missions organization which emphasizes literature production and distribution to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is done through Christian bookstores, bookmobiles, translation work, publishing/printing, websites, ebooks and more. CLC works to serve the entire evangelical community and therefore has workers and materials that are from various denominational perspectives.
For new international works, CLC sends cross-cultural missionaries to start a work. The goal is to establish a sustainable ministry that can be operated by a national staff in a reasonably short period of time. This means that our missionaries may work themselves out of jobs around the world as these fields mature and become self-sustaining.
Our national workers work very sacrificially and we are happy when donations come in to our Overseas Literature Fund to help fund their valuable work! Today, over 90% of our CLC fields are run by national workers and several of these countries are now sending workers cross-culturally to start works in new places.
